چکیده

Aim: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most widespread neurodegenerative disease. This study, it was aimed to investigate effect of methanol extract obtained from Capparis spinosa L. fruits, which are known have important bioactive components, on in-vitro experimental PD model.
Material and Method: After collecting fruits Alanya/Antalya, prepared by drying grinding. SH-SY5Y cells grown in flasks were transferred 96 well plates incubated until 80% cell density reached. Different doses applied 30 minutes before model formed. For model, exposed 200 µM 6-OHDA for 24 hours. MTT analysis performed assess viability at end 24-hour period. TOS, TAC, IL-17A levels medium determined using ELISA method. Expression TNFα α-synuclein defined immunohistochemical method.
Results: Cell found be higher all treatment groups than group. Moderate positivity observed 1500 µg/ml It that TOS TAC change depending dose. has been level decreases low doses. Statistical significance between groups.
Conclusion: When findings examined, reduced oxidative stress provided a neuroprotective increasing antioxidant capacity.

In Vivo and in Vitro Hepatoprotective Potential of Kaempferol, a Flavone Glycoside from Capparis Spinosa

This study was designed to investigate in-vivo and in-vitro hepatoprotective activity of kaempferol isolated from Capparis spinosa L. in CCl4 intoxicated rat. Kaempferol is a bioflavonoid reported with antioxidant, antiinflammatory and antiapototic effects which can prevent CCl4 induced hepatic lipid peroxidative damage mediated by oxidative free radical. Kaempferol was isolated from C. spinosa...

Antioxidant and antitumor activities of Capparis spinosa L. and the related mechanisms.

The 'ethnodrug' Capparis spinosa L. has several pharmacological activities. First, it was found in previous experiments that an ethyl acetate extract of Capparis spinosa L. (CSE) exhibited antioxidant activity. In order to further research this finding, the present study investigate the blood biochemical indices, injury, energy metabolism, oxidative damage and mitochondrial membrane potential (...

Anti-arthritic active fraction of Capparis spinosa L. fruits and its chemical constituents.

The aim of this study was to ascertain the anti-arthritic active fraction of Capparis spinosa L. (Capparidaceae) fruits and its chemical constituents. The adjuvant arthritic rat model was developed to evaluate the anti-arthritic effects of different fractions of ethanol extraction from C. spinosa L. The fraction eluted by ethanol-water (50:50, v/v) had the most significant anti-arthritic activi...
